At Kromme Rijn College, we value parent participation. Therefore, we organise several gatherings especially for parents/guardians. These are, among other things, themed gatherings, focus groups of parents and/guardians, and mentor meetings. Parents and guardians are represented in the representative council (Medezegenschapsraad, MR) as well. The student’s mentors will invite you personally for a mentor meeting.
Every school year, six parent meetings are organized. During the first meeting (at the start of the year/trajectory), parents/guardians will have the chance to meet the new mentor to discuss and enforce the Development Perspective Plan (in Dutch: Ontwikkelingsperspectiefplan OPP). During the following five meetings, the development of the student is evaluated and discussed by means of the intermediate report, the period report and the final report. The mentors invite parents to these meetings.

Here at Kromme Rijn College, we value the participation of students and parents/guardians. Our first parent/guardian focus group in 2019 will take place Monday, January 28th, at 6:30 pm. We will discuss the school’s year plan, and there will be an opportunity to introduce your own topics. If you wish to attend, you are more than welcome to do so. You can register by contacting your child’s/pupil’s mentor.
The upbringing of youth is a societal-wide task for students, and parents/guardians. This is the reason why our school organizes themed gatherings. This year’s kick-off takes place on Wednesday, November 13th at 11:30 pm, culminating with an American speaker at 3.30 pm (until 6:00 pm). You have received an invitation during the parent days. You can register via the mentor of your child/pupil. Read more about this gathering.
We often send newsletters to parents. On this page, you will find an overview of all this year’s letters
